Growing up in Edinburgh, Scotland (I moved to the U.S. when I was 23) on my parents extensive vinyl collection, I’d spend countless hours studying every aspect of their collection, from the harmonies on “Eight Days A Week” (my Dad’s favourite song by The Beatles), and the guitar solos on “Electric Ladyland”, to the joy and awe-struck-look on my face when they played “Homework” by “Daft Punk” for me and my first listen of “Screamadelica” by Primal Scream. Their record collection shaped my musical horizon and me as a person.
