Silver Tongues have a wide array of influences and confidently hop between genres. My only confident prediction for the direction they head in is that it’s likely to be unpredictable, although I’d also hazard a guess that it’s likely to be an enjoyable ride.

While it’s easy to compare Kishi Bashi’s violin and loop-pedal stylings to those of the much more known Andrew Bird or Owen Pallet, to do so would be a disservice, as it simply detracts from what makes Kishi Bashi truly unique.

We have London-based Bobby Tank to add to the roster of artisan producers out there taking dubstep in a more innovative direction. There are moments in amongst the vocal slices and slap bass samples when you could almost be listening to Justice or Daft Punk.

Jagwar Ma’s “Come Save Me” has a feel of Kasabian or Death In Vegas, which I guess equates to old-school psychedelia filtered through a big beat/rave-inspired ’90s-Manchester rock lens. Elsewhere, he sounds like The Orb. It’s all very good.
