Formerly Jazica, Arp Attack are a four-piece from the South of England who thankfully changed their name. Compared to the likes of Delphic and Friendly Fires (and with a hint of The Killers circa 2005), they’re more upbeat and optimistic than the former two bands whilst at the same time fusing some killer guitar solos over waves of synthetic beats.
Singer Frankie’s voice is lush and easily recognisable in the same vein as Katie White’s from The Ting Tings and Lovefoxxx from CSS. Arp Attack don’t fall into the same trite category as other electro-indie bands who have come and gone, leaving us with nothing more than 11 failed attempts at this whole “music” thing. No, Arp Attack actually deliver, in a big way, not only with one good song but with four of the four that I’ve heard.
They’ve already shared the stage with the aforementioned Delphic as well as Chew Lips, Two Door Cinema Club, Everything Everything, The Spinto Band, Esser, and Just Jack to name a few. They’re also playing at T In The Park this weekend. Give em a listen and get to diggin’ it.
