[Discover/Listen/Download] – Burnt Ones – [Electric Sleaze/Bubblegum Psych]

Indianapolis three-piece Burnt Ones describe their sound as “a broken radio with a tape-deck full of magic mushrooms”, and they’re pretty spot on.  Their four publicly available songs switch between Glam, Surf, Garage, and Lo-Fi, interspersed with all manner of fuzzed-up bass riffs by Brian Allen, reverberating drum beats by Amy Crouch, and the vocals and guitar of Mark Tester blanketing the entire production throughout.

They fuse 50s pop melodies with glam-rock beats and The Jesus and Mary Chain walls of sound into a hugely enjoyable and catchy roller-blading signal, it’s the type of music you need to listen to on vinyl and turned up 14, windows akimbo.

They just released “Gonna Listen To T-Rex (All Night Long)”, their first 7″ single on Roaring Colonel Records (label started by Dodge over at MyOldKentuckyBlog) and are readying their debut album “Moonlight Riders” for (tentative) release in mid June.

Below you can listen to four original songs and a cover version of “Damage Case” by Motorhead.  They also just did a couple of videos (“Sunset Hill” and “Bury Me In Smoke”) for Laundro Matinee that you can watch and grab the MP3s of those songs too.

You can buy the 7″ single directly from the band themselves by sending $7 via PayPal to BurntOnes@gmail.com.
