[Discover/Listen/Download] – Month In Review – April

April was one hell of a month for music, especially leaks.  For about a week straight there were albums being leaked every day, and not just smaller, lesser-known artists, I’m talking about The National, The Black Keys, LCD Soundsystem, Band Of Horses, Foals, Crystal Castles and Broken Social Scene.  Some of those artists took it upon themselves to either push forward their release dates or stream their albums at high quality either via their website or through someone else’s (like The National streaming theirs via the New York Times).

It was also a great month for this site.  Readership surged on not only the site, but Twitter and Facebook too.  I ran a pretty successful contest where I gave away a $100 gift certificate, I was linked to by The Guardian, but most importantly I found some amazing new music by some incredibly talented up-and-coming artists, namely Gauntlet Hair, Burnt Ones, The Delta Mirror, The Dirty Cuts, Jai Paul, Jaill, and tonnes more.
