Duo Grant Olney and Barry DeBakey based in Scotland make voluptuous summer-grass-sitting music, you know, the kind where you find an empty spot of green, lay down, hands behind your head and fire up your yellow Sony Walkman with fuzzy headphones (circa 1987), closing your eyes and letting yourself dissolve into relaxation.
With their self-titled album they’ve created 10 mesmerising songs, beautifully composed and well delivered and each one could be the soundtrack to your summer.
Listen to “Josefin The Writer” and “Tea And Thunderstorms” below, and watch the new video for “Tea And Thunderstorms” too. Their debut album on Friendly Police UK “Olney Clark” is available now and can be had for a mere $8 at their site.
