[Introducing] – French Horn Rebellion

I recently got introduced to the brothers Perlick-Molinari, best known under their pseudonym, French Horn Rebellion. This genetic win of a gene pool are two extremely talented brethren, well-versed in the tone of awesome. Robert on lead vocals, synth, and the inevitable French horn paired up with kinsman David, on vocals, programming, and keyboards bring to you the infectious synthy disco you love oh-so-much. (I mean really though, that picture… how much do you want to love them already?)

This funky vibe is brought to you by those sequined dancing shoes you’re going to want to throw on when you hear their lead track “This Moment”. This neo-disco genre title that’s being thrown around so liberally needs to find itself a poster child and I think French Horn Rebellion may be those very children.

David has had some facetime with MGMT, working with them on their power hit EP “Time To Pretend”, ever heard of it? As if you didn’t already feel like a worthless piece of under-performing shit, Robert was lead French Horn Chair Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra (as a fellow band geek, I am indeed swooning). Case in point, they’ve got talent.

“This Moment”, is just one of those songs you can’t help but smile, tap your foot to, and bob your head when you listen to it. All of a sudden you black out and you find yourself doin’ the hustle in your living room. I’ve heard quite a few remixes of this track, and this Kap10Kurt one is just the cherry on top. I’m just glad “Hearts On Fire” isnt’ mixed in with it (I mean really, how many times am I going to hear that song?!) Their debut album The Infinite Music of French Horn Rebellion comes out 29th of November… GET IT.
