Listen to a new (NSFW) track by 1 Minute Miracles titled “Ride My Bike XX Paperboy”, featuring (unknown) rappers Cracker & Ivorie.
Last month we introduced 1 Minute Miracles, a Toronto-based beatmaker who created short bursts of sonic goodness with a great ear for samples. “Ride My Bike XX Paperboy” is the first track he’s put out since then, and, as usual, it’s a winner.
The key difference with the rest of 1 Minute Miracles’ material is that there’s much more of a vocal presence, this time courtesy of completely unknown rapper duo Cracker & Ivorie. The pair don’t exactly spit fire on the track, but their rhymes fit the track perfectly. It’s all nonsensical (“ride my bike like Harrison Ford” is one key hook), but somehow it all makes perfect sense. The superfluous swear words just add to the fun.
This does nothing but confirm my theories that 1 Minute Miracles’ work would benefit greatly from vocals over them, and seeing as how this is just the first of a series of collaborations, my ears are ready for more.
