Yup, here’s another one,
I’m gonna keep making these posts until I feel like I have enough people helping out. Some site owners just want it be all about them being in control and posting, which is fine, but I have so many ideas and get so much good music that I want to feature on the site that it’s too much for the small (but excellent) team I have at the moment, I don’t want anything to slip through the cracks because I can’t keep up with it.
2010 was my first year with LBYB and it became a hell of a lot bigger than I ever expected it to. 2011 will only be better and the site will grow even faster, so I need some dedicated people to help in that.
I need contributors. Either writing album reviews, finding and posting about new artists, posting newly released music, or helping out with a bunch of other features I have planned for the site. You need to be serious about it, though. I’ve had too many people say they’re up for it, can post a certain number of times per week, commit a certain amount of time and I go through the hassle of telling them everything they need to know and giving them access to stuff, only for them to fuck off and do nothing.
So if you’re serious about helping out (if you think something might come up in the future where you can’t commit, then don’t bother) then get in touch.
- You don’t need a degree in writing, but you need to be able to describe something better than just “nice, cool, it’s just really good, I like it a lot” etc.
- You need to actually give a shit about the music you’re posting. Passion is everything.
Email me admin@listenbeforeyoubuy.net and let me know
- How you’d like to contribute.
- If you have examples of your writing then send it to me. If you don’t, hen write up a mock review of an album, new artist, or song.
- Your favourite albums/bands/songs of 2010 and/or a link to your Last.fm page.
