Listen: Bloc Party – Octopus

It’s here, it’s official: Bloc Party have returned!

For a lot of you this is is big news as the band have been absent for a good four years or so, some of you hoping to put the lackluster reviews and reception of their last album Intimacy behind you, even though it was a solid album.

Their new album, the band’s fourth, is called Four and will be released on August 21st via Frenchkiss, and after a cursory few listens to “Octopus” it’s evident that they’ve throw the electronic influence found on Intimacy to one side, in favour of their more back-to-basics indie-rock. Welcome back, bitches!
