Listen: Burial – ‘Truant’ & ‘Rough Sleeper’

I’m pretty sure that London producer Burial is just trying to fuck with us now.

It’s been a solid five years since he released his last album Untrue, but between then and now he’s released a slew of smaller stuff, namely one of this year’s best releases: his Kindred EP.  Now he’s released a new single featuring two long cuts of his dark and fractured wizardry, just as we’ve all finished making our best songs of 2012 list. Da fuq is up wit dat!?

Both tracks, “Truant” and “Rough Sleeper”, can be bought digitally now via Hyperdub, a few days ahead of the single’s official release date, but for those of you (and us) waiting for the vinyl, you’ll have to wait until that ships next week.
