Dark, brooding, and Gothic, Blessure Grave from San Diego blend music from The Cure, Joy Division and Cocteau Twins into one frighteningly atmospheric and introspected sound that can either instigate a bad mood and get you out of one, but bad moods are awesome (they give you license to be a justifiable dick to anyone!) so why would you want to get out of one?
Two albums in and they’re really starting to pick up some buzz for this year, their most recent album “Judged By Twelve, Carried By Six” was released On February 19th on Alien8 Records and they also just played SXSW a couple of weeks ago. Below are five songs; “Feeding The Silence“, “In The First Place“, “Stranger In The House“, “Stop Breathing“, and “The Cycle“, as well as a couple of videos, the first for “Open Or Shut” and the second is a live performance from SXSW a couple of weeks ago.
