Another highly anticipated release (for me) this year is “…And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness” by Olafur Arnalds, his third.
His unique style of blending classical music with ambient indie emotion (not emo!) makes for a truly special listen. ”…And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness” is due for release on May5th via Erased Tapes and it promises to be his best, and most popular yet.
Check out “Tunglið” from the album, an exclusive song released only to people on his mailing list, for which I signed up quite a while ago. He’s also currently playing in China and his gig on Saturday will be streamed live over the interwebbings from 10-11am EST.
