[Listen] – Entire New Album By Arcade Fire – “The Suburbs”

Of course NPR have gone and done it again. A full day before the album gets released in North America (it’s released in Europe today) they’ve got the stream for the entire album

Pitchfork just gave it Best New Music with an 8.6 out of 10, and most other sites I’ve read have given it between 8 and 10 with a few others giving lower than 8. One thing I will say is that do not judge this on your first listen. My first listen I was disappointed, and about 10 spins later I really liked it. I’ll haev to give it a few more solid spins before I can say if I love it, but definitely give it a few before you leave your mark.

I was due to see them tonight in Philly, my first gig in America since I moved here seven years ago, but life happened and now I can’t make it.  Absolutely fucking gutted, but what can you do?  If you’re going, enjoy it for me.
