Au Revoir Simone songstress Erika Spring has ventured onto her own with a new single, “6 More Weeks”– to be released as part of a split 7″ with The Violens. The song itself doesn’t shy away from the AVS aesthetic: the lyrics are heavy but the delivery is not.
If fact, Spring’s song pace changes though the song, never letting the listener tire of the lyrical material and instead brings a baroque synth-pop sound– a great way to introduce her new solo project. The split single vinyl will be available through Friendly Fire Recordings on August 2nd.
