By now, you can probably tell that we’re really digging new mysterious male/female duo MS MR. “Ash Tree Lane” marks their debut EP Candy Bar Creep Show‘s final track, thereby officially finalizing MS MR‘s feat in being the first ever band/artist to release an EP on Tumblr. Congrats!
So we’ve got “Hurricane”, “Bones”, “Dark Doo Wop”, and now “Ash Tree Lane”, and the EP’s final track is yet another gem: it’s got those gorgeous vocals in the duo’s typical fashion, but instead of last week’s “Dark Doo Wop“ minimal production, this one’s got some massive drums and beautifully layered harmonies. And that chorus is just mesmerizing! This is easily their most immense track thus far.
It’s interesting to note how successful the duo has been in keeping themselves shrouded in mystery: although in such an apparent digital age, there is little to know information about the band and its members, and neither their Tumblr nor their music videos even those their faces. But we do have this video.
The duo is set to introduce their music to a whole new audience as they open for GROUPLOVE on their upcoming North American tour, so be sure to check them out!
