If you’ve been reading the site for the last week or two you’ll have seen me posting everything new by Friendly Fires that I could get my veiny little hands on.
My first reaction to hearing “Live hose Days Tonight”, the first piece of new music from the guys since “Kiss Of Life”, was lukewarm until I saw them on Jimmy Fallon and they fucking sold it. Then there was “Hawaiian Air” that has a definite club vibe with fat grounding beats and lyrics about milk and G&Ts, and a day after that they released “Blue Cassette” that had an early Daft Punk-sounding intro with a “Skeleton Boy” atmosphere.
Today The Hype Machine premiered the stream for the entire album, 11 songs long, eight of them new, and you can pre-order it in the widget below. Bump this for the rest of the day and you’ll likely have two things happen to you. 1.) Fatigue from dancing your fucking ass off, and 2.) Your mood will be lifted (unless you’re on a come-down, in which case I ask, why the hell are you coming down on a Monday frickin’ afternoon!?).
