In anticipation of their next LP “Kiss Each Other Clean”, Iron & Wine dropped this new three-song single over the weekend as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday special.
Each of the three songs differ from one song to the next, going from their traditional-sounding Folky roots, to a more experimental electronic groove, somewhat similar to Sufjan Stevens’ recent change in direction, with the last song ending up all over the place (all you need to know is that there’s some improv-jazz…..that’s about when I tuned out).
The single is out now and “Kiss Each Other Clean” is out on January 25th via Warner Bros in North America and 4AD in the rest of the world.
