Since there’s a bad-sounding rip from the Fight For Your Right video, here’s our version.
That’s what the boys of beasts of burden just said on their Soundcloud page after premiering the 30 minute video for FFYR Revisited last night that someone ripped the closing song (“Say It”) from. That’s pretty cool though, because any time I post a radio rip or the like, the song’s just taken down and the band never release their own version, but Beastie Boys did….and that’s admirable…to me at least.
It’s now the third song we’ve heard from their upcoming album “Hot Sauce Committee Part Two”, and I think they’re taking everyone by surprise in that, well, every song is a fucking banger. I know that sounds like a diss but with well-established artists this year releasing sub-par albums, I for one haven’t been holding out much hope for the rest of the vets releasing new stuff, but I’m beyond happy that Beastie Boys still have it. The intro for “Make Some Noise” alone is so far a highlight of my musical year.
