With Hugo Manuel’s bittersweet, wave-like vocals washing over lush synths and a steady percussion, “Fast Challenges” is easily reminicent of ocean sprays on a summer afternoon shore. Whether it be the Spanish beaches or your kiddie pool, Chad Valley has proven last year with his self-titled Cascine debut that he can become our summer staple for the more emotive moments awaiting us in the coming months.
This track doesn’t so much follow his Balearic inspired sound as much as it cements itself as a pleasant wake-up call to our mid-year conciousness. Chad Valley’s sophmore album, ‘Equatorial Ultravox’ is due out June 20th via Cascine records.
