It’s been six weeks since we heard the first snippet of new music from the Canadian outfit Junior Boys‘ upcoming fourth album “It’s All True”, and today Domino announced that they’re not only releasing said fourth album (June 13th/14th), but there’s another new jam to listen to.
Nine-minutes-plus, “Banana Ripple” has been the soundtrack to the last 36 minutes of my life. Completely devouring the insides of my brain I’m left with nothing but melted ice cream in there and it’s gonna take a long time to solidify, especially if I keep listening to it….which I’m having difficulty in controlling.
It’s so textured, from the immediate beat to the subtle horns, the snow-like vocals and the synths, organs, high-hats, and keys, this might just be some of the best nine minutes you’ll spend all year. nudgenudgewinkwink
