As anticipation builds for the release of Zola Jesus‘ fourth album “Conatus”, we’re beginning to hear more and more from her.
The last we heard was when she guested on M83′s latest song “Intro”, before that we had “Avalanche” which she recorded as part of her excellent Daytrotter session, and before that came “Vessel”, but today it’s “Seekir”, clearly a Harry Potter reference.
Fourteen parts thumping, six parts electronically-highlighted like electric hair, and three parts skyscraper, the new track is much like the other new ones we’ve heard, and that’s monstrous. The album is still a month away so this might be the last new jam we’ll hear from her before the stream shows up closer to launch date on October 4th.
