Earlier this year we received the self titled debut album from NZCA/LINES aka Michael Lovett. It is an emotionally smooth and brilliantly layered piece of work, definitely worth your time if you haven’t had a listen.
His newest single, “Airlock”, is equally impressive and takes us a step further into the unknowns of his space-pop mind. It is a mysteriously, anxious song about love and loneliness. Very reminiscent of both Usher and Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit. Maybe they ran full speed into one another mashed together, creating a Station of electro-pop music. You know, like in Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.
