On the 14th of September Rudi Mikhail Zygadlo will turn 23 and Pictures Music will be releasing his second album Achtung!
To judge by “Variously Made Men” there is a lot to watch out from Glasgow. The fusion between Dubstep and Hip-hop which protruded the first album “Great Western Laymen” is still there. The accordion and the trumpet add a Russian folk flavor, he is named after two Russians dancers: Rudolph Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov, and the overall sounds like Chamber-Pop music mixed with military electro chants.
Leaving university prematurely has given Zygadlo the time to develop a specific style, and the outcome is effortless and completely natural.
