[Listen] – Sharon Van Etten – “Tramp” (Full Album Stream)

Sharon Van Etten, Tramp, Serpents

Listen to Sharon Van Etten‘s new album “Tramp” below.

If Sharon Van Etten‘s new album “Tramp” doesn’t make our top five albums of 2012 list, then we’ll have had one of the greatest years of music since 1969.

Following up her critically-acclaimed 2010 LP “Epic”, she’s created a masterpiece in “Tramp”.  Introspection, heartbreak, love, desire, and hope all make an appearance here, held together by thoughtful lyrics and a songcraft almost unmatched in the Indie-Rock sphere.

We’ve already heard “Serpents” from back in November, but it’s difficult to pick a highlight on “Tramp”, but if I was pushed it’d be “Give Out”, but there’s also the track she does with Beirut‘s Zach Condon, and the others she does with Juliana Barwick, Aaron Dessner from The National, Matt Barrick from The Walkmen, and more. Thanks to NPR (who else?) you can stream it all below. “Tramp” is out on February 7th via Jagjaguwar.
