A couple of hours ago London’s The Big Pink uploaded two short snippets from their upcoming second album.
There’s no word on what the album’s called, when it’s coming out, on which label it’ll be released (presumably 4AD), artwork, tracklisting or otherwise. I suppose I could’ve just said “This is all there is to know about their second album”, but the more I type the more I feel that my words have worth….delusions of grandeur and all that jazz.
Anyway, I’m not prone to posting snippets of songs but only because they’re usually released as something we’re all meant to get behind and be excited about when they’re just lame PR tools, or maybe it’s because I usually get them in fucking PR blasts that I hate them, but since it’s by a band that I love and all they did was post it to their Soundcloud, I can get behind that. There are two snippets posted, the first being just noise, but the second actually has some vocals that are completely soaked in reverb, maybe to mask the finish product or maybe it is the finished product and they’ve shifted gears.
Their debut album “A Brief History Of Love” was a huge critical success gaining almost universal praise, and hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before we hear some full tracks. Hell I’d even settle for some news, like a title or release date, or….like….what length socks they wear. I’m down for some sock info.
