If you heard anything from Veronica Falls‘ debut self-titled album from last year, you’ll know that it was hardly the most joyous album you heard all year, packed with ominous songs and morose subjects (like finding love in a graveyard and “bad feelings”).
Listening to “My Heart Beats”, though and you might just think that they’re doing an about turn, as it’s more upbeat and bright than anything else on that album. We’re not saying that they’re heading down The Polyphonic Spree territory, but it’s still a surprise. There’s no word on whether this song will be released as a single or a b-side to a single, but it’s definitely new, so get your chops around it below.
