[Listen/Discover] – The Factory Kids – [Experimental/Psychedelic/Pop]

After forming in 2008, Factory Kids (Christina Marie and Tim Chaplin) initially released their music via blogs and compilations and then soon after released their debut album “Factory Kids” on Powertool Records.

They’ve since released a single and two more EPs on Oddbox Records and 17 Seconds Records respectively.  Their music is simultaneously dreamy and heavily distorted, drawing from Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground, Primal Scream and others, their song “I Won’t Tell You Again” may just be one of the best songs I’ve heard this year.  They still create mix tapes and appear on compilations, and their mix tapes can be downloaded for free via their MySpace page.  Nobody could ever get tired of free music.

Ed from 17 Seconds Records has sent me their EP and has kindly allowed me to let you hear a couple of the songs from it.  Below you can hear two of their songs, the aforementioned “I Won’t Tell You Again” and “Holiday Crease”, both from their latest EP “One”.

You can buy their latest EP from iTunes.
