Well I am one happy chappy, originally I was hoping to just find some stuff to post from their mind blowing previous albums “The Fall of Math” and “One Time for All Time” in order to demonstrate the near overwhelming sounds they produce (often compared to Aphex Twin and Mogwai having a rather violent encounter) and lo and behold after checking their site they’ve got a new album out! I wasn’t even sure they were still going.
Their most recent release before “We Were Exploding Anyway” was 3 years ago back in 2007 with “The Destruction of Small Ideas” – which seemed to lack the enthusiasm and energy that I was so amazed by in their first 2 albums. After checking out “Tiger Girl” from the latest on their site it seems that energy seems to be back in quite a different form, a more electronic vibe but still with the epic buildup that I love.
