I’ve got a theory, if you want to throw some shitty party at your house at least put on some damn good music; if I have anything to do with it, Bag Raiders will be involved. Their music will cure any sort of party faux pas (yes… I took shots of SHITTY plastic bottle vodka, but I wiggled whilst I did so, ’cause the got damn Bag Raiders were playing). Beggars can’t be choosers, right? Chances are if you’ve been at a party, a bar, a club, whatever you’ve definitely heard ‘em. ANYWAY.
Bag Raiders. Yes, these little cuties right above this horribly written text are DJs Chris Stracey and Jack Glass. They’re from wonderful Sydney, New South Whales, Australia. [Sidenote: WTF AUSTRALIA.... lots of kangaroos, home to AMAZING music, ahem Pnau, Cut Copy]. Something’s in the Fosters down there, ’cause I jock Bag Raiders just as much as I do the aforementioned spawn of the outback.
So this little jumpoff, “Sunlight” (GLOVES remix) was recently released in December off of their self-titled album via Modular. This shit’s been a long time coming, these guys have been progressively killin’ it… from Bang Gang 12″s to various cult mixtapes, they have become a staple to anything associated to fun. Uh, hello? Shooting Stars? It’s been stuck in my head since I can remember. “Sunlight” (GLOVES remix) is just something you NEED to have in your car, drive to it… I dare you. You’ll feel like you’re in a spaceship during the summer with lasers for headlights. (<– sounds AWESOME, right?!)
