This song earned a place on my On-The-Go playlist when I heard BBU (which member, I’m not exactly sure) spit: “I’mma stop, cause my verse is irrelevant/Rappers aren’t intelligent/Waka Flocka Flame, we go hard in da paint biatch!”
If I had the opportunity to award someone the title of “International Kings of Stoner Rap”, I would give it to Das Racist in a heartbeat. These dudes are nimble, highly inventive rappers from differing ethnic backgrounds who are sadly underrated. I would much rather hear this on the local hip-hop FM station than Waka Flocka, who incidentally, gets a shout-out/diss on this track.
“Please, No Pictures” was produced by The Hood Internet, who are most known for their odd and sometimes-brilliant mashups of indie songs and rap verses. The hook is a little girl’s voice saying “Please, no pictures”, which is quite amusing when juxtaposed against guys in their twenties rapping about smoking the bong with Miley Cyrus. Give it a play while you relax in the cut.
