[Listen/Download] – Brand New Song By of Montreal – “Coquet Coquette”

“False Priest”, album number ten for of Montreal, is fast approaching (September 14th, via Polyvinyl) and in the run-up to the album they’ve done what most bands are doing these days, and that’s releasing a few songs either for free or to radio stations to promote the album.

This new song was found just lounging around the interwebs until someone found it and gave it to the masses (I’m gonna thank Stereogum), and here it is for you.  I have to say I love  it, and of Montreal can really blow hot and cold for me.  I loved “The Sunlandic Twins”, could not get into “Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?”, and then loved “Skeletal Lamping”, so if history repeats then I should hate this new album “False Priest”.  If the whole album is just this one song though, then it’ll be album of the year.
