Sufjan Stevens is like a bus. You wait years for new music from him to arrive and then there’s a shitload of it all at once.
It all started about three weeks ago when an out-of-the-blue, hour-long EP called “All Delighted People” showed up, and then almost two weeks ago there was the premiere of “I Walked”, the first track from his upcoming album “The Age Of Adz”, and now today we have another new song called “Too Much” that was apparently played on Norwegian radio yesterday.
It follows in the same footsteps of “I Walked”, electronic and synth-led, with layers of instruments atop layers of vocals and all sorts of knobs and whistles interspersed throughout. So far it seems that his new album might be a bit of a change in direction from his previous album, definitely appearing to be more electronic-based, but I’m really really digging what I’ve heard so far.
