[Listen/Download] – Bye Bye Blackbird Release Brand New Song And Change Their Name

Two weeks ago Bye Bye Blackbird were called…..well, Bye Bye Blackbird.  Now they’re called Blackbird Blackbird. The reason?  Mikey (the guy behind the mask) told me that they got an email from a rival gang band who said they wanted to use the name since it was so cool they had a similar name and that they’d knife Mikey if they didn’t give it up due to copyright/trademark issues they should change it.

As if we didn’t already have enough blissed-out ambient, psychedelic dream-synth-pop jams (for free) from Mikey, he’s gone and uploaded another one, this time by the name of “Avalanche”. Have a listen to it below and head over to his Bandcamp page and get it for yourself.  Also have a look at the post I linked to at the start, it has another five of his songs and a video so you can get yourself fully acquainted with him.

He’s releasing a 7″ in mid-July with a bunch of songs on it, so keep your eyes peeled and ears clean.
