When I was a kid myself and my wee brother Austen used to watch a bunch of nature documentaries on the BBC, reveling in whatever weird creatures or insects we’d see in far off exotic lands. One such documentary introduced us to the Capybara, the largest rodent int he world, and they’re goddamn fucking awesome!
Those last three words bring me onto this Kansas City band Capybara, because they’re goddamn fucking awesome too. Jittery vocals with ethereal harmonies a couple of layers behind them and striking guitars that jab you in the chest, this track soars and beats and pleads with you to replay it another 15 times, and then you still won’t get tired.
