Com Truise, aka Seth Haley, first released this EP back in June of 2010, but has recently repackaged and rereleased it with four extra tracks for the princely sum of nothing. You can head over to his (beautifully designed) website and pick it up for absolutely zilch.
If you are unfamiliar with Com Truise, we here at LBYB have featured him before, for a remix he did of a Twin Shadow song, but he has also dropped a couple of remixes for Neon Indian, including one epic remix of Sleep Paralysist that sounds like it came straight out of Terminator.
Aside from having an amazing graphic designer at his disposal (whoever it is deserves a medal for that website and his record sleeves), Com Truise has carved out a niche for himself in making amazingly warm, authentic, eighties electronica that sounds distinctly modern. He seems to have gone fully gung-ho in the authentic eighties stakes too – he is renowned for his collection of vintage synths and goes as far as to tag his MP3s as 1985. Nice.
