So the other night Dizzee Rascal and James Corden performed their world cup mashup anthem for England’s World Cup team “Shout For England” on Britain’s Got Talent. It’s actually a good song, and even though I’m Scottish and we’re supposed to hate England and their Football team, there’s nothing wrong with liking a song about their team, right?. I’m sure if my Dad reads this he’ll disagree and give me shit for it.
I don’t think anyone will outdo “Three Lions” though, that song was damn good, but maybe the whole excitement from England hosting the European Championships in ’96 made it all the more special.
So now you can hear the world cup song by Dizzee Rascal and James Corden that has Dizzee rapping in his unique style whilst sampling “Shout” by Tears For Fears. It’s actually a rip from the TV show but the quality is pretty decent. The song’s out now on iTunes.
