Although not having the stereotypical “summer” sound that’s been synonymous with sunshine over the last year (think “chillwave”), Dominant Legs’ music is still by far sunny, upbeat, smiley, and dazzling.
It might have something to do with Ryan Lynch (the guitarist for Girls) being the main dude and having Hannah Hunt complementing his vocals with dreamy far-off harmonies. It’s a refreshing Summer sound in these days of the chillwave synth, their songs will make you wanna get up and just start moving, skip down the streets like a fool and swinging around lamp-posts, kicking your heels and stomping in leftover storm puddles.
Their debut EP “Young At Love And Life” was released on August 17th on Lefse and features four songs, three of which you can hear below as well as an early tune from last year.
