Knowing that Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit are in the studio, even if it’s just to write and record a whimsical Christmas tune, is enough to get me excited at the prospects of them dropping a new album in 2012.
We’re pushing two years since their last album “The Winter Of Mixed Drinks” so it’s not too far-fetched, especially when they’ve been on an album-every-two-years cycle. Whilst we’ll obviously have to wait for that to happen, or be announced (I’ll take anything, Frabbits!), keep yourself warm this Christmas with their festive track “Cheap Gold”.
On a sour note, if you’re breaking up with someone this Christmas, or were just dumped, their heart-wrenching album “Midnight Organ Fight” is one of the greatest and most harrowing break-up albums of all time.
Just saying, it’s there if you need it. I’m looking out for you guys, that’s all.
