[Listen/Download] – Hard Mix – Entire Discography

I could’ve made this post a couple of ways.  Because Hard Mix has a shitload of songs all available for free, I could’ve made one giant post with all of his music, or I could’ve split it up into three posts, with five songs or so for each post.  My only problem is that I’d probably use up all of my fancy words in the first post and the second and third would sound especially bland (more so than usual).  I’m not sure if this is his entire discography, but it has to be close.

I eventually went with the giant post, that way you only have to stay on one page and listen to them all instead of laboriously coming back day after day just to hear all of his tunes.  The guy behind Hard Mix goes by the name of Noah (yeah he wasn’t actually called Hard Mix from birth….weird huh?) and hails from South Carolina, the home of chillwave and Stephen Colbert.  It seems like anyone with the name Noah these days is destined for great things; This Noah, Panda Bear, that guy from the bible who parted the seas……there was probably a dinosaur called Noah too.

I digress.  It’s not where he’s from that’s important, but the cut of his jib, and Hard Mix’s jib cuts like a warm butter knife through nostalgic sun-lashed (butter) synths. You could lump him into the chillwave genre (if it is indeed a genre) but he only really touches on that.  Of the 16 songs you’ll hear below, there are definitely elements of chillwave, but also Hip-Hop, Dance, and Electro-R&B, all interspersed with some sampled classics of yesteryear.  You can play these songs, and while they differ from one song to the next, do one of two things; 1.), Dance the shit out of your tiny little ass, or 2.) Just take it easy and kick back.  You could try to do both at the same time but things might get broken and might end up like a game of musical chairs.
