Remember September? That month with the days and sometimes there’s rain and sun depending on where you live?
Yeah that one, with the days and stuff. Well the last time that came around these parts I posted a radio rip of Jamie xx‘s debut song/single/release beast “Far Nearer”. Nobody was sure what it was going to be, whether it was just him pissing around with beats or if it was some legit shit coming out; his solo “name” wasn’t even official but he ended up adopting the name everyone else was giving him. If you’re unaware, he’s one of the members of the English minimalistic beat trio The XX.
Well now he’s released the actual official mastered version along with “Beat For” the track accompanies the lead track on this limited vinyl-pressed single. If you want it, you can grab at the song title’s namesake site, or you can move your mouse over to their store and download them for a buck or two (I’d suggest buying the vinyl though, it’s so much more beautiful and tangible), and if you’re the kinda person who likes to listen before you buy (aha, see what I did there?…..?…..no?) you can hear them both below too.
