If you’ve read this site for at least a couple of months you’ll likely have heard of The Pass, but unfortunately not enough people have.
Releasing one of the standout albums of the year takes a huge amount of talent and some mediocre-sized balls, especially when it’s your debut album. But that’s what The Pass have done, a quartet from Louisville, Kentucky who just released “Criminal” for free accompanied by a video using found footage from a 1950′s educational film about the dangers of drug use.
The song itself is one of the best on the album, filled to the brim with handclaps, synths squeezed to oblivion and a melodic hook that’ll worm its way into the back of your brain and lay wee baby choruses that’ll grow into fully-fledged, golden-winged butterflies (that’s what baby choruses grow into). Grab it below and check out the video too.
If you wanna hear the album you can do so here, and if you wanna buy it you can do that thing here.
