Curiosity killed the cat and never being one to shy away from death-defying acts, I’m curious as hell as to why this new jj track featuring Ne-Yo is censored.
Anybody know?
It’s whatevs. Released as the penultimate single on Adult Swim’s Singles Series Ne-Yo sent this track to Adult Swim who subsequently sent it along to jj who obviously had to add some magic to it. It kinda reminds me of something from Young Galaxy‘s latest album “Shapeshifting” but it goes through more of a transformation from start to middle to finish. Having listened to Ne-Yo maybe all of twice I can’t say I’m a fan, his music seems generic and bland, but jj make this track everything that it is.
It’s got a bit of a Trip-Hop feel to it with jj’s distinctive vocals and ethereal atmosphere as Ne-Yo pops up around the mid-way point to get his Rico Suave on, and as we wait for jj’s new album to come out this should serve as a nice little hold-over.
