[Listen/Download] – New Song By JOYWAVE – “Hang With Me” (Robyn Cover)

So…..I’m sure a few of you are about to react the same way that Joywave member Sean Donnelly did when I told him this, but I haven’t heard a single song by Robyn before.

Go ahead, chastise me, give me shit, piss in my Special K…..or just leave a comment with your O-Face (:o) displaying shock (not pleasure).  Sean sent me the track below last week and I’ve still yet to hear any Robyn songs, but based on what I’ve heard about her, this cover version is fairly far off the path of her regular sound, like ceo covering Beyonce.

This jam takes ethereal to a new level, bumping into planes and choking on clouds.  It’s fairly short, but it actually does make me want to listen to some of her stuff, so maybe…..maaaaybbbeee I’ll get on that.  Anyone else not listened to Robyn before?  Wanna high-five?

The video for the song is of a fight breaking out at a basketball hoopla, but I’m sure someone with more knowledge about basketball could fill me in on the deets.
