I’m always being asked by credit card companies to write, record, and release music as part of their advertising campaigns (in this instance it’s American Express’ ZNYC mix), but between doing this and combing unruly eyebrows I just don’t have the time.
Thankfully there are bands who are no doubt better at the whole music thing than I am who deserve a bit of cash for making sweet tunes, whereas I only deserve some cash because I’m poor as fuck. You read that right, I deserve cash because I’m poor, not because I work hard (I do) or am a good person (I am) or I keep up with pouching my cat, but because I’m poor. That’s how all poor people think (I don’t speak for all poor people, only the ones in this chair).
Anyway, this new tune from The Antlers is a sweet one; instrumental, upbeat, optimistic and hopefully if there’s a new album in the works (the followup to 2009′s much-loved-by-everyone “Hospice”), maybe they’ll pen some lyrics for this song…..that’d be nice.
