[Listen/Download] – New Song By The Last Battle – Black Waterfall

I’ve been following these guys for a while now but haven’t made a post about them.  Hmm…..apologies.

The Last Battle are a sextet from my hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland who’ve been working furiously in the last few months to get their debut album finished as well as gigging as much as possible.  Their debut album has an awesome name (“Heart Of The Land, Soul Of The Sea”) and an equally as awesome sound, set for release in September in Edinburgh indie label 17 Seconds Records (which is also the home of the frenetic and buzz-worthy The Dirty Cuts).  Their slow, folk-driven, maritime-inspired drive will have you crooning and swaying like the waves, their Scottish brogue evident on all songs.

I’ll hopefully have more of a write-up around about album-release time but for now Ed over at 17 Seconds told me about a new track they recorded that won’t be on the album, but you can hear it below.  If you head over to their MySpace page you can hear three other songs too, hopefully all of which will appear on their album.
