This guy knows how to pull at those heartstrings.
Maybe it’s a combination of certain things going on in my personal life right now, but The Tallest Man On Earth is the kinda music that accompanies it well first thing in the morning. I’ve said this before but what he does isn’t anything groundbreaking, but what he does do he does it extremely well, and that’s hopeful, mournful, poetic, joyous, somber, pining Indie-Folk balladry.
His last album “The Wild Hunt” took the number four spot on my best albums of 2010 list, and if you’re new to him then that’s as good a place as any to start with his music. As part of the ongoing Adult Swim Singles Series for 2011 (they did the same last summer) you can get the track below for free.
