By way of Manchester, England comes NO CEREMONY///, a band, artist, lone ranger….nobody knows yet apart from NO CEREMONY/// themselves, but of the one track that’s out there one thing I clear.

This. Shit. Kills.

When I first heard “Hurtlove” I was reminded of some of the cuts from James Blake‘s early EPs, that skewed, chopped, sound-altering signal he was broadcasting.  Foregoing the James Blake reference there’s a lot going on here, from the sullen piano to the points where the vocals bubble to the electronic beat, it’s a shame that all we have is one track.

Hopefully they’ve got more of these tucked away and we’ll get to hear the whole slew of them before too long, but as I did with this track you can just keep it on repeat for quite a while and it doesn’t tire. Listen to and download the track below.
