At first I thought it’s an obscure cover for “Always On My Mind”, but it quickly absorbed into my head and now I can’t get it out from there.
Former Simian and Black Ghosts member Simon Lords from London, UK hooked up with Rafter Roberts from San Diego, California and together with a little help from MySpace, they formed this happy duo and a full-length album was born, “Eponymous”, which will be out on September 6 on Asthmatic Kitty Records.
Their collaboration is inspirational and clearly they had fun electro-clashing their talents, Lord’s digital vocals backed up by the rough loose beats of Rafter, and the result is danceable, crunchy and warm. Grab both tracks below and check out the colourful video for “Windmill”.
