I’ve dug through crates for months in hopes of finding a song like “Don’t Let Me Get Lonely.” I can’t even begin to count how many time’s I’ve put on an album from the fifties and spent fifteen minutes ranting about how “No one makes music like this anymore,” The Record Company are doing their part to keep me from ever having to make that statement again.
Before every song that came out was getting slapped with some sub-genre tag upon sub-genre tag in an endless need to label and catagorize everything there were three genres of music Folk, Blues, and Rock. If a band or artist could successfully combine any two of those elements then you had something timeless and epic.
It’s sad to say that most bands who label themselves as “Rock” or “Blues” are complete garbage, all they care about is “promotion” and “trends” and honestly believe that the world has been just pacing around waiting for them to dial in their new copy of Pro-Tools before dubbing them as the next Beatles. If you don’t believe me you should see the twenty emails I get everyday. Not the case with The Record Company, these guys are Rock and they are Blues and they are really damn good.
I’ve just found these three guys out of LA and they have already stolen my heart.
